• Immortal Demon
shut up and sleep!
Ha! I see you have no idea what I'm talking about... it's not so easy once your hormones are fucked up. Ok, I change that to "please, do the same mistake and see what I mean!"!
• Optimus Anybody coding out there?
• galen it seems that evereybody is filling the oneliner, nobody's coding...
• Immortal Demon < quote > sleep is for the weak < /quote > That's exactly what I thought before... I was coding my own OS night and day, until this shit blew up in the hands. | Everybody is trying to sleep!

• Nova Has a 256b 3D-Starfield already been coded and can I find it here?
• poi Nova: there's 'Stars, Wonders of the 256' by PsychoMan ( http://www.256b.com/demo.php?demoId=213 ) and the beautifull 'kaosstars' by Tmb ( http://www.256b.com/demo.php?demoId=348 )
• Nova 'Kaosstars' looks good - I also like 'omena' by tmb
• Nova Which assembler is used most often to code 256b intros?
• Nova o.k.
• me http://www.gnu.org/graphics/gnu-head-sm.jpg
• Optimus I use Nasm (netwide assembler)
• baze I'd recommend Nasm too... it gives you most control over your code.
• Nova Baze: On which computer did you start coding?
• r4id I use NAsm and FAsm, both are good & free, and FAsm is written in pure asm, so it's good when coding your own OS in assembly ;) I started programming on Amiga 500.
• galen I should start using nasm...
• Nova r4id: In which Amiga-crew have you been member of?
• tmb I guess NASM is the best assembler out there (for those who actually want to code in assembler and not in some bastardized macroscript mess ? la coding in MASM...), though I tend to use TASM even though I have had NASM on my machine for a few years.
• tmb BTW, asmcompo is over... what do you think of theentries?
• galen tmb: I expected more from asmcompo...
• Fillbert check brennglas, and nasm is THE tool
• Optimus Nova: I guess Spectrum. As for me, I start coded anything (basic) on CPC and I also started coding in assembly language on CPC too (Z80) quite late. My first CPC demo has been released lately (http://users.auth.gr/~mkargas/astep.htm). On PC, I started coding on Quickbasic
• Fillbert QBASIC is the start on PC some years ago, because you have it installed with your OS *g*
• Nova 'Brennglas' looks good - I like the file_id very much because it is original
• Nova Are there some nice shadebob-intros in this archive?

• Complete archive back ( at last )

It took 5 months, but I've received the message. Let's put the delay on the count of a new job + some freelance work + more professional contacts + some extreme boredom to touch a code that was working perfectly until the host changed the settings and rights with no warning.2005-06-05 by P01

• Recent problems

As many of you saw, there's been some problems recently with the downloads. I was away for almost a month for the birth of my nephew when the host of http://www.256b.com had no better idea than changing the configuration of PHP. Therefore all the prods with an ID above 402 are not available. Btw, I received 2800+ mails of errors and a handfull of inmates noticed me the bug too. I'll fix that as soon as possible. Meanwhile, happy new year!2005-01-02 by P01

• Page titles, new skin and other minor changes

One thing bugged me since a while : the title of the prods did not appear in the title of the pages. That thing is fixed. Adding a wildcard in the SEARCH input is not longer mandatory. Some minor things have changed in the XHTML/CSS. And I made a new skin for the site. Your feedback is welcome.2004-11-28 by P01

• Improvement of the search feature

Wildcards have been enabled in the SEARCH feature. You can use * or ? like anywhere else. At least that's a significant improvement until I code the Advanced Search feature to allow the search on any field ( name, coder, year, group, ... ).2004-10-21 by P01

• Hello CPC

256b.com welcomes its first Amstrad CPC intro. It's called "a bouncing pixel" ( http://www.256b.com/demo/463 ). You'll find the URL of an emulator in the LINKS sections and will btw see the new button I made for pouet.net few days ago.2004-10-18 by P01
